At As You Like It you’ll find exquisite lace overlays for a variety of bodice styles. Right now our most popular overlays are crafted from fine Alencon lace (also called corded lace), plain or beaded if you like, and finished with delicate scalloping at the neck and waistline. Some brides love to finish the look with a silk ribbon sash tied at the waist; others like the timeless elegance of unadorned lace.

You can also consider a lace shrug, jacket, and even full-length coat. These are an eye-catching way to finish your look!

Lace Detail

At As You Like It we do all of our lacework by hand. This takes much longer than typical machine-sewing methods, but it’s worth it. Why? Because a machine-sewn seam destroys the beauty of lace; it’s a straight line in a field of otherwise graceful motifs, and it sticks out like a sore thumb! The traditional methods we use ensure that there’s never a visible seamline in your lace, so you see nothing but the uninterrupted beauty of the fabric.
